Update (August 2013) Now included are 7 similar lower thirds with an alpha channel so you can export the lower thirds with no background. That means you get 14 lower thirds in total! These alpha version create a lower third video with a see through background so you can place it straight on top of footage without any need to key etc. The steps to do this are as follows:

1. Edit one of the compositions in the alpha folder

2. Add to render queue and set the codec as lossless

3. Click on Lossless to change settings and change the RGB setting to RGB + Alpha

4. In the format setting select PNG

5. Click ok and render comp
